본인은 삶 속에서 다양한 관계에 대하여 많은 생각을 하며 작업을 하게 되었다.
낯선 대자연의 그 풍경 속에 던져진 자신은
외로움과 고독으로 시간을 보내며 깨닫게 된다.
사람과 사람 사이에서만 관계가 존재 하는 것은 아니라는 사실을,
작가가 느끼는 낯설고 두려움 그 이상의 자연과 친밀한 관계를 맺어 보기로 노력 하면서 작업은 시작 되었다.
자세히 보아야 가까워 질 수 있었고
좋은 것을 찾아 보아야 사랑 할 수 있었다.
어떤 것을 알고자 한다면 정말로 그것을 알려고 한다면
오랫동안 바라보아야 한다.
초록을 보면서 “이 숲에서 봄을 보았다” 라고 말하는 것은 충분 하지 않다.
네가 바라보는 그곳이 되어야 한다.
양치식물 잎사귀의 까실한 솜털과 꼬불거리는 검은 줄기가 되어야 하고
잎사귀들 사이의 작은 고요 속으로 들어 갈 수 있어야 한다.
시간을 충분히 들여서 그 잎사귀들에서 흘러 나오는 평화로움을 만질 수 있어야 한다.
모든 일은 마음먹기에 달려 있었다.
나와는 다른 존재 속에서 함께 라는 관계를 알게 되었다.
나는 일상에서 경험했던 다양한 감정들을혼자가 아닌 우리사이(between us) 로 결정 짓기로 한다.
작은 생각의 차이 하나로 어두운 외로움을 극복 할 수 있기를 바란다.

In my life, I have often contemplated various relationships, which has greatly influenced my work.
Thrown into the vast and unfamiliar natural landscapes, I spent time in loneliness and solitude, coming to a realization. The understanding dawned on me that relationships do not only exist between people. My work began as I endeavored to form an intimate bond with the strange and sometimes intimidating nature that I experienced. It was through close observation that I was able to draw nearer, and it was by seeking the good that I was able to find love.
If one truly desires to understand something, they must observe it for a long time. Simply stating “I saw spring in this forest” while looking at greenery is not enough.
You must become the place you are observing. You must become the coarse hairs and curling black stems of the fern leaves, and enter the small stillness between the leaves. You need to spend enough time to touch the peace that emanates from those leaves.
Everything depended on one’s mindset. I learned about the relationship of togetherness within an entity different from myself
1 decided to define the various emotions I experienced in everyday life as “between us” rather than alone.
I hope that a small shift in thinking can help overcome dark loneliness.
